Those things sound nice, i pulled the resonators off the exhaust in my G8, gotta hear that rumble, a kid told me it sounded "mean" once, I took that as a compliment.

Way back, when I had an HD, I learned very quickly that the dealer was just stupid expensive for anything. I rode an hour and a half so a guy I met on the Interwebz could do its first service at his house. He charged me for oil and I don't remember what else -- piddly, at any rate -- but wouldn't take anything for his labor. So we saddled up and I bought him a nice lunch. Then I got the BMW K1200LT (Light Truck) and forgot all about HD.Took the scooter for state inspection today. Have to get a rear tire. It wasn't quite to the wear indicator but gone enough to not pass. Front tire is not far behind so replacing that, too. It's about 2.5 rear tires to one front on mileage.
The HD dealer offered to replace them both for the mere sum of 635 + tax. No, but thanks for asking. I order tires/tubes from Dennis Kirk, take the wheels off myself, and have the Honda dealer change tires/balance for 100+ less than HD. Yeah, my labor is worthless.
I'd like to do business with them but there are less expensive alternatives. Their parts dept has been excellent. I've only used the service dept once for the very first tire change. About 450 for a rear tire and brake shoes and that was 13 yrs ago. Started doing my own after that.

The gigmobile here in 2021, when there is gigs, is a Jeep Cherokee. My original PoorMobile ™ two cars down the road from the Golf is what hauled my rig. The last of the rig to go was a homebuilt 1x15 cab that was made to withstand anything. I literally could not lift it when I let it go a couple years ago. #NoSVT4ME

My first girlfriend bought a Ford Cortina after we broke up, she had had a '65 Oldsmobile 88 before that which I thought was a far superior car, (which I got my first ticket in, long story to that involving 4 hours in Summer Street jail which in 1970 still had buckets under the beds and issued green prison garb).

This goes for lemonade stands, too. If I notice this lemonade stand used to have windows and doesn't now, I observe is it's on account of too many people being thrown through the window. Not that I would ever have a lemonade in that part of town, but a girl needs an extra set of eyes 
Glad we are back on track, I was getting concerned there for a moment...
I've never owned a big block but a buddy of mine had a 68 Plymouth GTX with a 440 in it when I was a kid, he used to let me drive it once in a while, you could just about snap your head off your neck with it, loved that thing. You have to have your priorities in order when choosing a car.

Looks like a late 50’s delivery van. Maybe a Ford Thames 300E.
On fast food: We have just McDonald's here. I drive by it every day during lunch. The smell of the oil kind of sickens me. Ever since I saw the special of McDonald's using lye in questionable beef parts for burgers now when I bite into a 1/4 pounder I'm wondering what I'm eating. The cost of buying a sandwich, fries, two desserts, and drinks is almost the same as eating in a decent sit-down restaurant. As for their fishwiches, friends give us locally caught rockfish and Carey cuts them into sandwich sized then coats them with tempura. Homemade tartar. Potato roll. Heaven. Nope, not buying a fish sandwich in Alaska!

The University district was full of wealthy families and one of my professors was retiring and announced in class a Chrysler New Yorker wagon for sale. It was $750 and I happened to have the money at the time. I didn't try to barter. After signing over the car to me, he handed me three sets of keys on very nice keychains. I got into the car to inspect more and found a leather bound zippered case with the entire service history in the case. He had it steam cleaned and it was never that clean again!
Needless to say, although I might say I've always been a competent bass player, having such a large car was always a plus for landing gigs! Here's a generic interweb picture of the car.
I liked your idea of mounting a small bass speaker on a speaker stand. Compact, loud, and very portable! Great idea!
