Fifty-one years ago today Joe Cocker and Mad Dogs and Englishmen, a band with 30+ musicians including Leon Russell, played the Capital Theater (Port Chester, NY). Due to technical issues, the early show was at 9 pm, and the late show at 1:30 am. The band ended up playing until 5 am

I saw the video of some concert(s) from that tour. Maybe it was more involved than just concert footage. Don't remember the name. But I really enjoyed the music.
This was always my favorite James Taylor album, it was also the album the first made me aware of round wound strings. My first wife was a big James Taylor fan when I first met her, she was also a very good singer and guitarist and sounded like Joan Baez and could blow you out of a room her voice was so strong, anyway she turned me on to James. This album was kind of different for him, it reminded me of a folk Sgt Pepper album with songs running into each other. LeLand Sklar played the great bass on this LP.
I just wish that they would've had today's sound systems back then. (sigh)

I've been in Phoenix once and Flagstaff once but those two shows makes me really want to see the state.
Some in The Navajo Nation use Indian Time.

As a 12 year old, I thought Maddy Prior had the greatest singing voice I'd ever heard. Pretty soon to the audiologist

Wow, he made some nice stuff, I've had one of these for almost 20 years, 240 WRMS per channel into 4 ohms continuous. Not mine. I bought mine when they were still fairly cheap.

I used one channel of a broken one of about that vintage as my bass amp for a year or two, it actually sounded pretty swell and I still have a few of the knobs.

That was top of the line gear back in the day.
I use it with two pairs of Large Advents, I refoamed the surrounds years ago and it's still really too much for both of them.
And the graphics design made it look like Sanyo.
Somewhere I still have a pair of Baby IIs that have been in their box for going on 25 years or so. Good place for them. Not enuff bass.
