Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

All this talk of dental work must have affected me. I'm going on Thursday to have a molar yanked out. Infected from a root canal gone bad. Had it done 7 years ago in the USA. It never felt right. Now I'm living in the boonies in the Philippines, this means good news and bad news. Bad news: no gas, no pain meds, just get the pliers and pull. Good news: the dentist is good and has a lot of experience at extracting teeth. He pulled one of my daughter's wisdom teeth a couple of weeks ago and he was quick and deft of hand.
To be continued...

I did an audition on Saturday. Band was mediocre and the lead guitar player didn’t bother to turn up. Gave me a set list of their songs and expected me to know the words sing one of them! They said I wasn’t a good fit! LOL
Guitar player not turning up = good, not showing up = bad ;)

I was in one of the local guitar stores today and saw a flyer for a band looking for a bass player. It said you had to be at least 18. I was SO tempted to call 'em up just to see what they'd say when they asked how old I was and I told 'em "I'm 65, why?". I decided not to mess with the kids. They're probably all serious and earnest about their music and wouldn't see the humor in it.

At their age, their idea of humor is farting. OMG, I'm 65 and I think farting is funny! :bored:

I say go for it. Don't tell your age. Tell them to judge your skills.
