An outstanding charity to support. When my step-daughter was battling Batten disease, they sent us to Disney and they had a great place for us to stay down there too. Wish I could remember the name. All set up for kids with disabilities. This organization is great and the people are saints.

My favorite guitarist with whom we are doing an 80's tribute band is going for complete hip replacement surgery. Very sad because in this little berg there are some guitarists but most of them are acoustic strummers singing some crap about trees and stuff. Don't even know any Cars tunes!
I'm fighting with my wife right now because she has Afib, which the doctor has diagnosed as mild but her heart is beating too fast. She was prescribed medication to slow down her heart-- when the heart beats fast continuously it doesn't have time to rest or pump blood throughout her system completely so she gets more tired lately. No a big change but noticeable. Those of you GOF's long term marriage can imagine the fight I'm facing when wife makes up her mind. She wrongly thinks the medicine is making her tired, but it isn't. I've threatened to call her friend of 36 years, the kids, but she's got her mind made up. She said the medication made her feel weird and she was tired of feeling weird.

Present! 8 fingers, 10 toes and 2 thumbs, not necessarily in that order. Got a banner day lined up tomorrow! Playing 2 morning church services and 1 evening service. Guitar for 1st morning & evening services, bass for 2nd morning service. And my hip is killing me today.
Luckily, the Youth Band does roadie duty for me once I get my gear to the church.

My 86 year-old friend is recovering great from his 2nd hip replacement! And he's mowing grass and all the other household chores he stays constantly busy with. Makes me feel wimpish for complaining since he's got 20 years on me.

Her long "fibbin' sessions" scare her, and me, big time, but not enough to get the scan(s) that could lead to effective treatment. <sigh> Women! Am I right?

Feeling my age (admittedly youngish compared with some of you, the big 60 in a few months), loped my Mustang around bareback for the first time and trimmed one horse this morning in the heat and I was done. Mustang was wild caught and not much was done with her in the 9 years before I acquired her. I've had her 3 years and she's finally becoming reliable enough to do this even though she was in a full schedule of headline shows last year. She's so quick that if she were to shy or scoot out on me, it would be a heck of a challenge to remain topside. I've been training horses for several decades, (wild caught) mustangs are a very different personality as there's always that mama and herd taught survival instinct that remains simmering beneath the surface. I won't show her bareback for another year, but this year she's part of the "Legends of the Mustang" show (where I ride one horse and pony the mustang along side me at a gallop) and carries the (almost) life size tiger on her back in the "Tribute to the Greatest Showman" segment (both in the headline shows) and plays Sargent Reckless on Military Day at our 3 week long state fair. It's at least 1 show a day, usually 2 for 18 days. It's pretty much the last of my "touring" type events, by the time we are done it's 3 full weeks of 13-14 hour days without a day off. Looks like I am now the oldest participant out of about 40 who ride, drive and vault. The rodeo world and 100 gigs a year for 35 years in the rock & roll pro audio world taught me how to pace myself in order to survive (relatively) undamaged. Pain is highly over-rated

I just spoke with him and we are practicing next week and he says we'll do 4th of July street dance even if he's in a rocker!

Good news! After knockdown dragout, wife under duress took medicine!
The downside is she wants me in the shed cleaning up until she cools down!

There a horse ranch that I pass on weekends, they have a an oval track and riders regularly pony a horse on each side. It doesn’t look like it’s for training, more about exercise. They look happy. In the middle of the field, there was a mom with her very young foal. The thing was happily rolling around on the ground. It must have found a big pile of droppings.

I’m sorry for your troubles Will. I fight with my Dorothy all the time cos’ she won’t take care of herself. ATM her back is crippling her but she refused to go and see her GP. It was so bad today that she went to a walk in clinic and was throughly peeved when she found it closed!!
I rubbed her back with Biofreeze which we swear by.
bro @BassmanPaul thank you for the empathy. Good news is Carey finally took her meds but I'm literally cleaning the shed while she cools down!
I hope Dorothy knows how much you love her cranky old soul and you argue on her behalf. I always tell Carey I know her better than anyone else on this planet and it's true.
