How are the bears in Sitka? I’ve seen them taking one bite out of a salmon belly then going after another one. That must be where the birds step in.
The bears try to stay out of sight and up river, and they still get plenty of salmon. Most of the bears get a pretty good feed out of one salmon. They actually eat them down to the spine, and leave heads and tails. The birds eat the sloppy leftovers and what falls into the stream goes out to the ocean where they are further consumed by other creatures. It seems that the salmon are food for every species.

Except me. My daughter's allergic to all fish and shellfish, so it's never in the house. TBH, I don't miss it.( OK, once in awhile a fish sammich @ Mickey D's)

Attention GOF's. Roll call. Report all fingers, toes, extremities at least accounted for. What say ye GOF's? What is planned this weekend?

I'm going on a secret hunt for a puppy somewhere in town. I heard a friend say that their neighbors have a pregnant Golden Retriever and the father is a Golden Lab. Should be a beautiful combination. Was going to the Animal Shelter but there's only one dog there and sadly he was tazed (TAZED!!!) by some smart young police officer. The vet said the poor animal is not all there anymore. He was very young. You know there out to be a law....

Temperature is still warm for us Sitkans but it's clouding over. This is what we call "fall fishing weather." A little warm but some nice light rain for the creeks and rivers for the fish. Happy Friday, GOF's!

That officer should be strapped to a tree and zapped a few times. I guess his mother must have dropped him when he was a baby. BTW here are a few pictures of some pups I have for sale.

I'm here and everything that is supposed to be attached appears to be attached and functioning.

I am starting to get used to the idea that I am retired. This is Day 10 of retirement so it still feels as though I am on a stay-cation. I understand that it takes a while. The good news is my blood pressure is lower than it was 10 days ago. So that is something.

Present and awaiting an EMG to determine which nerve(s) to fix surgically. Yeah, I started out wanting to avoid the "S" word. Now the pain says "bring on the scalpel". I only hope it indicates the 45 minute procedure with the one inch incision instead of the 3-hour procedure with vertebrae fusion. Oh, BTW, neurosurgeon says the MRI shows arthritis all up in my back! Still appreciate prayers.

Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. As for me, everything still attached and most still functional. Gig Sat. night at the PSL American Legion. Usually a fun crowd. AND, it's one of our larger venues where I have room to play one of my TBirds.:hyper:Think I'll take the 5 string Epi Bird. 0606181340-00.jpg

Hope it all works out for you bro!

Btw, I got the same news about arthritis.

All fingers and toes accounted for, just building up something super-secret in my lab today ;)
Hopefully something that could show up in the Mesa product line just in time for holiday giving or at least that would be a tempting option when considering what to do with tax return dollars next year. :)

:D

You got it brotha.

My last MRI I asked the tech, soooo I know you can't DX, but how's it look? and she replied something like, that's some messed up dookey. Only she didn't say dookey :\
tax return dollars

What's that? Last year I had to pump $2000 into an IRA just to break even!

Ooooh, "it's alive" and so far exceeds the design specs. by a pretty wide margin too... makes me all tingly ;). Might have to toss back a cold one while hanging out with my horses tonight
