You trying to get on my last reserve nerve :p
Reserved if we get that far? Or you want the next number? ;)

Too much for the whipper-snapper to handle?

Grumpy old farts get sentimental, 1969 was my high school graduation year... I suspect we will get that high but any old number will do.

=wr= :D

P.S. Mostly grumpy because I didn't start playing bass before I was already a grumpy old man...

My knees are so bad sometimes I use a cane. Couple months back in a drugstore I used it to slug a noisy teenager who jostled me while I was contemplating the different flavors of Metamucil. Put the little ****ing ****head on the ground. Nobody gets warning shots anymore. Yeah, I'm in.

Good grief pops, I hope that is comedy fiction. If I ever get that grumpy I won't be able to stay under the mods' radar.

Yeah I embellished a little....the Metamucil part sounded good but I honestly can't remember what I really went in there for. And yes, not saying what I think in the language I would use in person is a trial sometimes. But this is my second TalkBass incarnation (third if you count loosing my account info in the first server change in '99 or 2000 or whenever it was) and I know the deal.

At the moment I have no lawn. About 5-6 amps and cabs for all those. They range from an old tube radio (the exact model I used as a kid to play guitar) to an Aguilar DB751. I'll blast you with that one through the double DB212s if you cross me when I do get my lawn back up next spring. Number?

Wow! I spend a day away from the internet and look what happens.

B-string:
Thanks for the making me member #1! I think I might have a number in other clubs here, but I'm not much for that sort thing. This, however, is a club and number I will wear as a badge of honor.

Back when you and I first "met" online I introduced myself as a "crotchety old contrarian". I've grown even more so over the years.

Popgadget:You can only dream about being as old and grumpy as I am.

I'm almost 61, have dementia, walk with a cane because my knees and hips are shot and haven't shaved since Jan 28, 1978. I'm in constant pain. I 'm a "right-of-Rush-Limbaugh-conservative" and don't care what anyone else thinks.

I learned years ago that life is too short to tolerate a-holes.

I earned this club.
We have much in common.
I haven't really reached what I'd call "dementia", but I sure have "brain farts" more often these days.
I have osteoarthritis in one knee and an ankle, and an autoimmune form of arthritis in the other knee, one hip and my spine. Physical therapy and meds help make the cane and pain infrequent.
I call myself a political con-trarian. Fiscally and constituionally conservative; socially libertarian. Gets me into lots of arguements with people.

My stepgrandson called me "Grump Bill" for the first year or two he knew me.

Get on the ball, sonny. I have 8.

I feel old, does that count? 40 in a couple days, have been playing bass for 25 years. I should be a better player by now.
State of mind.

The first time I tried playing a micro class D amp, I was all pissed off that I had to go find my reading glasses just to adjust the knobs. Grumpy, indeed!

Why is everything printed so darn SMALL these days!

Not holdin nothin.

Well, my amps are old and sometimes get farty when cranked. Does that count?

Only if you get unreasonably grumpy about it?

There are a number of people (mostly relatives) who will vouch for my grumpiness. I am the Chuck Norris of grumpy. Count me in.
