Well I live in Michigan and it's been just dandy. On top of frigid temps I'm six weeks into PT after major repair surgery on my left shoulder. And I'll throw in the fact that after this one gets healed it will be time for surgery on the right one. It just doesn't get any better. Grumpity Grump!

I can't believe I have used the AC in February here? WTH, we had snow for the first time in almost 30 years on New Year's Day and 87 degrees 1 1/2 months later?
Shoot.. it was 75 here yesterday.... 26 when I got up this morning.. made it all the way up to 36.
Yeah... it's not the temp.. it's the 50 degree fluctuation... back to 60+ by Thursday!

The global temp is higher this year and has been on the rise. This makes for more violent and varied weather. If you can't understand that at -5 where it has not been before, don't worry the ice caps are shrinking at an alarming rate. Soon those not under water will be nice and warm. It will likely be your great, great ,great grandchildren, so no worries you'll never know them. ;)

Had a huge over 30 degree swing today in the crawfish fields… Rain and 13 mile an hour winds. It's Lundi Gras, for Cripes sakes! I'm not going to go into town tomorrow for Mardi Gras to get pelted in the head with frozen beads of plastic while having drunk teen agers vomit on my shoes. I'm grumping out of Mardi Gras; the ultimate blasphemy:bored:
fnord!

5" of snow last night and about 15 degrees. Jobsite is about 80 miles away. Hope they don't expect to see me there today. Seahag works for the school system so she wont be going anywhere today either. Good thing I have plenty of tomato juice and vodka here. Whooopeeeeee.:woot:

We have a bunch of neighbors with 4X4 tractors, so the road will get plowed, but the folks who haven't yet bought a 4X4 are going through winter hell because even plowed, the shade from the trees can make icy conditions last for weeks.

I've got provisions to hold me the rest of the week. Mostly glad we haven't lost power all winter so far.

Down here we have the bad combination of snow, ice, fat-tired pickups, baseball caps, and toothless rednecks. Somebody hollers, "Watch This!!!", and you see the footage later on the local news. The refined rednecks drive Tahoes and Land Rovers, but they're still out of control rednecks.
