Ray was a very cool guy; I knew him in the mid '80s. He was into stereo photography and we'd talk about that, and where the best place to go for a burger on Mars.
Lemon Antennas was a band I was in in the mid '00s.

Great Gigmobiles.
(never owned one. Largest car ever owned is the S4. A Mini Countryman would be a fine Gigmobile for me.)
As rig size and weight has all been getting smaller, so have the haulers. I've gone from an E100 Econoline van down to a 1st generation Scion xB.

One aspect of me always sizes up an attractive car for gigability. By cracky, the Poormobile hauled my bass, the TNT 100 combo and a 1x15 cab with room to spare. Real Vinyl (TM) seats, oh yes, and well the Poormobile is blue and that's the best thing that can be said of it. Beyond that it didn't kill me :: laugh ::
Reasonably certain an Audi TTS Coupe is able to haul my bass and rig today, and that's pretty amazing to me. A full blown rig that doesn't reach my knees and still knocks me over is one of the good reasons to live in 2019 or there abouts.

Those old amps and guitars have a great tone. The single bar Charlie Christian pickup from the 1930’s is still in producion.

In '67 this dog switched from rhythm guitar and learned the lead on Incense and Peppermints when our regular lead guitarist went on vacation and left me his Fuzz Face. What fun. We played it for him when he returned and the doofus thought we were kicking him out of the band!

It was a great trip to visit and fly fish with the family. Two, 10 hour days, driving each way was a bit brutal. The 40 minute wait to get through the US border was the only major delay...will definitely spread it out over more days, next time ...being a GOF

Wow, must have been a very tiring drive. I’ve heard stories of spectacular fly fishing in BC, even close to Vancouver.
The Haida Gwaii archipelago in the north of BC is supposed to be a dream for salmon fishing.
We fished a few lakes close to Merritt, BC. Two of my sons and I fished for four hours on one lake, caught and released over 20 rainbow trout. Salmon fishing is good, but, with decreasing numbers, fishing with a guide is what I would do.
I have a cousin in Kelowna.
Rainbow Trout and Salmon that I get are both good eating fish. I have to buy it from the store though. The price of Salmon didn’t come down this year like it normally does. Maybe the catch this season was not as bountiful as in other years.

If you ever feel like trying your luck in Northern OR/Southern WA I know a very experienced guide with a nice drift boat. But yeah, the salmon runs are pretty dire at the moment in my neck of the woods. As far as local eating I tend to prefer steelhead, personally. I basically stopped fishing when I moved to the west coast, but fly fishing for steelhead sure does look like a cool thing.

Here in the Midwest, Large-mouth bass are my staple. I boated my largest (3lbs, 12oz) so far this season just last night...
