GK 112-II NEO

When i have this in full range mode with the tweeter control all the way down, is the main driver being sent all of the highs or is this thing designed so that the highest highs are tweeter only? I ask because with both the original speaker and an eminence s2012, i feel like with the tweeter turn down im not getting highs like some other cabs will do. As far as tweeters go, this sounds nice, but i prefer running no tweeter, with the full range expressed by the main driver.
If not already, is there a way to bypass the crossover and run full range to the 12" driver only?

Ok! While i have liked this thing much better with the s2012, I have not experienced as sparkly and punchy of a mid as ive wanted, with either speaker.
* I mean, there is punch there in the mids, but its not a gut grabber with the high low/low-mid. Whereas I've recently been playing on an Ampeg Micro-CL at Guitar center and that thing has gut grabbing built into it. It may be time to flip and move on to the next one, but I'm just wondering if I'm missing something because I have a lot of tone shaping in two amps as well as a Hartke VXL Bass Attack pre-amp pedal.
Right now ive got a 400rb and an Ashdown MiBass 220 that has semi parametric control on low mids, mids, and highs.

Has anyone compared the gk neo 112-II to an aguilar gs 112? I am looking in purchasing one 112 cab but I'm undecided. Which one has more low end? Which is louder? Theres $150 dollar difference but is it worth it? Looking at the specs online, the gk has better sensitivity and has lower frequency but in person I don't know if its true. Thanks

The 112 does fine with a 5 string within it's limits; any cab has limits.

If you have a G-K NEO cab, set the switch on the cab to Bi-amp. This disconnects the crossover, L-pad and horn tweeter from both the full range input as well as the 1+,1- on the speakon.

I totally forgot about this, and honestly, with the MB800 and MB500, this might be a good thing to try, noting how bright they are up top over the MB Fusion.
Do it! I bring the thunder every gig!! A Genz Shuttle 6.0 is being used in this picture but I normally use a Markbass LMIII.
I have the same rig as above, and tried it out the first time July 4th, sounded great, stacked it vertically, played with an Alembic Spoiler. Very happy!
I pretty much always play mine stacked vertically. I love the near field monitoring of the taller stack.

I really like the way these cabinets respond with the Genz Benz Shuttles. Nothing wrong with the GK MB heads, but I find I need to cut the highs more with them. Great sounding cabs though. Can't really beat them for the money.
Not with a 700RB, but trade it for a 800RB and you can run dual 112s on the lower amp (300w @ 4 ohms) and a single 112 on the higher amp, which is 100w @ 8 ohms (only).
I bet it would sound AWESOME, and since you have different volume knobs for the lower and upper amps, no worries about some cabs being louder than others.
