Good Punk Bass?

White PBass, black pickguard

Isn't this Sid Vicious on the 4th day he started playing bass?

He always kind of reminded me of a zit begging to be squeezed.

You raise an important point about stickers. A properly stickered punk bass should always look mysterious and slightly intimidating. It should convey a "hands off" message to anyone looking at it. I always roll my eyes whenever I see a post about someone applying stickers to a bass in order to make it a "punk" bass and then I see the photo and there is a giant Bud Lite decal next to a tie-dye peace sign and unfortunately, the message it sends is that the bass has never been any place more dangerous than a bedroom and the owner is maybe not a very good bassist.

I use magnetics instead of stickers I have skull for when I play punk and a dancing bear when I play hot tuna. One time I left both magnets on a pbass and blew a tube. Won't do that again!

I'm in the market for a good punk bass. My budget is $850 and under. Any ideas?
The Bass doesn't really matter any bass will do for punk!
& before the hate replies start coming in "disclaimer" I mean that in a nice way! So any Bass will do for punk!
bolt on preferably (for punch!)
what really makes the difference is the
.set up
.strings
.pick ups (EMGs)
.eq setting settings on amp
.type of amp used (tube vs solid state)
.even some types of alternative tunings etc.
