Details? I'm curious about those tuners.

The specail tuning machines seems from a 1968/1966 Jazz Bass's.
See, the bounded rosewood neck, the aged vintage white body, dark red tortoise shell pickguard...The details are trying to prove the baby came from late 1960s.
If the decal could be seen more clearly, it will be easier to confirm.

Cool! I thought that's what it was but the headstock didn't look to fit the part though, didn't look yellow enough.

My understanding is that the paddle or "egg" tuners appeared in 1966 only. As long as the tuners are original to the bass it's extremely likely it's a '66.

So some more information about my baby:
Neck Shaping 7 from DEC65, Pots *6605.

My 7Bass Book told me that the Paddels are used until the late 60s. Maybe that it is wrong...

It needs a fret job. Untill that happens, I'm stuck with high action that leaves me with a sound lacking in sustain and a lot of fret buzzing. Its nice to look at though..
