The bass is from early 1966. The neck is so called "transition fingerboard" with bindings and dot Inlays!

Ooooh...extra rare! Nice!

My understanding is that the paddle or "egg" tuners appeared in 1966 only. As long as the tuners are original to the bass it's extremely likely it's a '66.
 
So some more information about my baby:
Neck Shaping 7 from DEC65, Pots *6605.

My 7Bass Book told me that the Paddels are used until the late 60s. Maybe that it is wrong...
