Question for @GR Bass Staff or for the public here! I have a One800 head with two AT Cube 112 cabinets, although I often use only one cabinet at low volumes. I have no complaints, it sounds excellent!
My question is, does the One800 amp normally run very hot? Unless I turn it to Studio mode, the fan almost always turns on after a short time in operation. It feels quite hot to the touch after being in Studio mode for a while. One thing I noticed is the fan takes cool air
into the side and blows warm air
out the bottom, which I think is
backwards from the ideal way to dissipate heat and backwards from how other amps do it. Is this correct and is it normal?
I did get the One800 new a year ago, so it has a 5-year warranty... I'm not worried about failure right now, but in less than four years I will be worried.
