Grindcore

bluewine, do you seriously not get what a condescending a-hole you come off as in these threads?
And yet this thread still goes on.
I don't understand what the OP is trying to get out of this. Why start a thread about something you don't like, then constantly berate anyone who tries to put forth an argument?
Age has nothing to do with maturity it seems.
Grindcore is just less palatable. Pop is made to appeal to a lot of people. It doesn't offend the popular opinion, it's always melodic, memorable, and like I said already, palatable.
Here's a case in point:
So to me that's the litmus test... Four versions of a great song, all different genres two fit wonderfully, and two just don't... to my ear.
My point is that Grindcore has its value to those who make and love it, and can relate to it. I get it, and have friends who ARE the grindcore scene here in Miami. Sometimes I feel like I'm seeing the same set from three different bands playing only one song. Sometimes I'm incredibly impressed by some philipino dudes who flew down here... but I'm always impressed by the passion, presence, and heart behind what people are doing, even if it's not my flavor.
And that's what sucks about music... there are way too many cooks in the kitchen, all tasting each other's food, and hating anything but the style they're cooking at the time.

But that's not what happened -- he was insulted on a personal level first, made a conciliatory statement on the whole issue, got insulted twice more, made a "younguns don't get it" post, and got insulted again...I didn't bother rereading to find out when he started returning the personal snipes -- point is, HE didn't turn this into an insult-fest, and didn't "constantly berate" anyone, so the "immature" charge belongs elsewhere this time...
And didn't you make a big point of showing everyone that you were leaving the thread a few hundred posts ago?
Read the first post of the thread and tell me that he is not insulting fans of grindcore.

How about the Metal guys come up with some bands that may have some of the qualities of the Beatles in their style. such as complex vocal harmonies and melodic bass lines for Bluewine to check out. I'm sure there's some genre like White Harmonic Doom Dance Metal out there.
These posts while heated and kind of dumb at times, still provide new and sometimes useful information.
I am not angry, nor do I take anything said here personally. I hope you dont either.
That doesnt mean I am not going to challenge people that post *&^& and they dont know what there talking about.
Example; When jive got taken to task with his remarks about the Beatles not being a live act. He probably read that after their final full concert at Candlestick Park in 66 they stopped performing live as the Beatles (for good reason) and focused more on recording.
But that was a small part of the picture. jive did not do his home work. He can stick with his position but hes dead wrong and others did agree with me.
My Dad took me to The Shea Stadium Show in 65 after The Beatles had completed the filming of Help in the Bahamas. They were very live and very good and they didnt have *&^& as far as sound technology was concerned.
BTW way Jung, that was one of the reasons John didnt like performing live, we just didnt have the technology to do it right in large festival venues. The technology while primitive started get better by 68-69. But you werent around then, were you? 
