Gross things other musicians do.

In certain circles, having a member of the public throw underwear at you could be consider a milestone. Now, when the item being considered here is thrown by a (apparently) a dude in a lgbt bar, and accidentaly hits you while (also apparetnly) it was destined to your drummer, it could count as gross.

It happened to a friend of mine

I'm curious----was "your friend", as you say, so traumatized by this event that it brought on a case of Dissociative Identity Disorder? :roflmao:

Had a singer who would suck his ear plugs before re-inserting them into his ear, countless time. He said it helped lube the ear plug going into the ear. ewww. He never washed them, just put them in his pocket, in his mouth, in his ear, in his pocket, and round and round.

Hopefully it wasn't still warm...

I frequently break wind at gigs. In my defense, I usually walk over by the drummer when I do it.
Hahah , I thought I was the only one that did that .. He would be stuck behind the drums and couldn't escape. I used to wander over the the other side of the stage and let one out.. and go back to my corner like nothing happened ;) ;)

Pretty much anything anyone else does is gross to me.

The worst I saw was a trumpet player dump their spit valve on our jam space's hard floor... The idea of that spit permeating through the air was enough for me to take an extended washroom/smoke/beer/phone break.

so, wait; you took a cigarette break because saliva is gross?

That would be most horn players, if you count shaking out the spit-valve. Brass instruments are played by spitting into them, more or less, so whenever there's a brass player, you get spit. That's just how it is.

It's actually condensation, not saliva.

While I wouldn't say there's NO spit there, having played horn in school I know that it's nearly all water condensation. You don't play a horn by spitting into it. Take a thin tube and blow into it for a few minutes - you'll get plenty of water.
