I bought my Elrick Evolution 5 from a slightly out of focus GC photo...I couldn't pass it up at the price it was at. It looks much better in person that it did in the photo, and plays like butter and sounds super!

The only thing that has lately is I stopped at one store and asked if they had gotten or were getting the new StingRay basses and the guy said no, because they were too expensive for that store. Looking around, I believed him as I don’t think they even had any USA Fenders...

GC stores have tiers. Based upon the demographics and what sells in a store, the company decides what they will ship to them to sell.

It sounds like you were in a smaller satellite store. The stores above that usually get a few American instruments.

Speaking of bag ends at GC,...there's a D10X-D for $175 on there,...steer clear of it,....bad driver,....it's making the rounds at different locations, I was the first one to make the mistake of buying it!

It was a shame. Cab itself is in great condition. The non coax 10 rattled like a diamondback though. Returned it same day it arrived.
