Wow, some of you have a really sad view of us gamers (yes, I am both a gamer and a musician). It seems as if you think your a better human being just because you dont play games. Unless music is your main career and you dont have real job to pay the bills than you being a musician is just as much a waste of time as someone playing games (GASP!)

. There is something that every human being in the world does called escapism, meaning that everyone has something to take their minds of of the stresses of everyday life. Some people read, some people watch tv or go on the net, some people play games, and some people play music. Its only a matter of opinion that one of those things is "better" than any of the other options. I am a believer that games can be just as stimulating as reading or music (having done both a lot). I've been in music since fourth grade and playing games a little longer, both have their place in my life, and while I will admit there are those that take gaming to the extreme as far as addiction goes, 99.9% of gamers have complete control over the way we play. I was in a band, went to college, and had a job and a girlfriend. I still found a little time to play my psp every now and then, but never pore than a half hour. I guess what im really trying to say with all this is, you can have your opinions about games or whatever, but I think its wrong to think your better than someone else because they spend some of their free time differently than you do and you think the thing you do is on a higher plane than than anything else.
