I get this. NASCAR/racing wasn't a thing at all for me in my life, so to me, it's just a bunch of dudes making left turns. Cheese and wings are always cool, tho.
Well, that's just uncool.
I think what you hate are arrogant football fans, and that is perfectly understandable.
I grew up here in Pittsburgh, a SERIOUS sports town. I lived in South Florida for twelve years which is not as sports crazy. I live in Baltimore for a few years and had to deal with the Steelers/Ravens rivalry... Whatever.
I don't hate any sport, but I don't follow any sports either.
I would like to have a bright yellow P-bass with a black guard though, it would come in handy when we play at sports bars.

If you make one, make two... I'm a die-hard Steelers fan... Born and raised in Western PA, and worked in Pittsburgh 13 years before moving to Australia in 2001.
Motorcycle trials (Observed trials in the US) is quite impressive I think. The opposite of high-speed racing, but requires incredible balance and skills.
To be fair, professional footbal players are being paid a lot of money to participate in a career that averages less than 4 years (usually ended by a sudden debilitating injury), and for those players lucky enough to retire after a full career, are almost guaranteed to suffer for the rest of their lives from serious and permanent damage to their bodies.
And to be fair and balanced, this could also be said to apply to warehouse and other factory workers, as you describe.
Warehouse workers usually end up with a little more money in the end, too.
pikes peak hill climb, no help from navigator and no guard rails. I'd be more impressed with rally racing if it was just the driver in the car.
No definitely, two different types of racing, one sprint the other endurance. I like them both.
Rallycross isn't much of a poor man's game over here though, at least not the bigger classes.
In europe we also have a big hillclimb scene, which brings out some really cool machinery (and some crazy drivers):

indifferent to sports, don't care for "fans," especially hate the fans that talk about a team like they're on it "we played really well until the third quarter." oh really, you're on the team? didn't know that.
take the navigator out of the equation and let the driver do his (or her) thing, then you got something. Pikes Peak is a timed run on the single road leading to the peak (elev. 14,100 ft). its not like a motorcycle hill climb where you just blast straight up a steep slope, we have those here too.
Sorry, but I just can't agree that rally isn't impressive because there's a co-driver in the car. Those guys have amazing driving skills.
And I'm not talking about motorcycle hillclimbs, but timed runs on the road with cars, just like Pikes Peak.

I'll talk football until someone starts talking about statistics, wild cards, rushing yards, recieving yards, rules, etc. My ex ruined football for me.
