I feel like anyone who influences Talking Heads and David Bowie, The Police, Radiohead and Metallica is at least indirectly influencing non-musicians. I'll let you know after the 31st, my fingers are crossed no more cancellations.

Anyone who thinks they weren't among the top songsmiths of their time are fools IMO. And I mean in the time when crafting Top 40/Pop songs was a true art-form!

John is a very talented guy. I have a boatload of respect for him and Darryl both. If I could play bass for either one of them, I'd be sittin' on top of the world.
They are seriously fun in concert. Great show, not too long, really tight.
I think they are both top notch.
Daryl's House is so great to watch, so I give the nod to Hall, personally.

I love Daryl's show, although the food segments seem out of place to me. It's like watching football players talking football, then suddenly they start crocheting.
And John seems like a cool dude. I've worked on a couple of car-related TV shows that feature him and he's quite the car guy.

Too soon for me (COVID) and my wife has refused to ever see King Crimson with me again ("Are they all playing the same song?").
I'm from the UK, and she's really only known for one particularly successful single here in terms of music and is much better known as an actress, although some of the music she has done (often with Fripp) in more recent years hasn't been that bad, just not chart-friendly.
I am not sure Fripp has ever been off his game. I corresponded with him for a short while in the 1990s which was somewhere between inspirational and baffling as it was more about meditation than music. Huge respect from me, though. He does (or did) exist on a higher plane than most of us, although I think Toyah has brought him down to earth a bit. I've heard them being interviewed about their marriage on radio and it does sound like quite a good and domestic set up.
I second the T-Bone vote! Amazing musician. He grew up in Yonkers NY and we got to see him play prior to his Hall and Oates gigs. Good friend of my brother and would stop in for dinner occasionally. A true, humble, talented cat. RIP Tommy.
