Good eye! I didn't even think about Sir Robin wearing mint.

Why Tim? Based on the Python movie, Holy Grail, here is this guy with all of these powerful God-like abilities and his name is simply, "Tim"..........well, it seemed to me like a good name for the Talman Bass. (Plus, I was trying to be funny. Failed as usual?)

Cats do only interact due their survival reflex, as all animals in captivity do; humans tend strongly to interpret this behavior in their own socializing terms. To an animal you're a part of (bossing) a bunch, a flock or a herd and if you feed them regularly, you'll get reactions in obedience mostly or as cats do, in tolerance to be part of the bunch, but finally not much more.
Btw, naming gear is kinda senseless to me; i could even celebrate my bass' birthday for Steinbergers are listed after daily production schedules.

It was common for knights in Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings to name their swords. Why not a bass?

I was actually looking for a thread about naming a bass because I am building one and I thought I'd see what a search revealed. I plan on either painting a name on the headstock or ordering a custom decal.

Do name your bass.

A lead guitar player I know named his guitar after his grand-daughter. I am thinking about a song name maybe. Or maybe some bass player who inspired me. I will give it some thought because I want it to fit. Good luck!
