I was in heaven when I lived in Denver. The home grown beers were all fabulous. I miss that! There's only a spattering here of *good* micros.

Honestly, I won't pretend to be a bourbon snob.. I like Makers Mark and Knob Creek as your typical liquor store purchases, but I rarely drink at home these days.
But if I'm out and at a pub or restaurant that has selections of lesser known brands, then I always try one or three.
I'm the same with craft beers, rarely buy any for the house, but always sample when I'm out.
And always try something I've never had before.

That's why he needs to pick up a selection for me... I like to work my way down the shelf, lol

We're opposite. I have quite a bourbon collection at home, so can't usually bring myself to buy anything while out. However, there are a couple bourbon bars in the Seattle area, and I will partake there if they have something obscure that I don't.
I'm up for trying something new, but since bourbon is still riding the trendy wave, I'm not about to pay the crazy prices some of these joints charge for a shot.

Elmer T. Lee would be my go to, but can be hard to find reasonably priced these days.
E.H. Taylor would be nice too.
Blantons may be easier to find, and the bottle is cool.
Bookers would also be a good choice to show you care more than grabbing whatever was on sale at the grocery store.
These are all good for drinking neat/straight. If you're just mixing drinks with it all the time, what you have is great. Especially the single barrel Evan Williams.

It sure is.
I'd go with the Smooth Ambler or Whistle Pig. Sazerac is a good choice, so is High West.
Heck, the Bulleit stuff ain't so bad either.

I def. need a good Lionel or AF train. That'll be next Christmas. I love the idea of a flatcar carrying shot glasses as well as the tanker. Some custom artwork on the side will make it a beer transport tanker. That's awesome.

Those colors look a little over saturated. I don't know if it was the flash or the tree lights. This is that same corner, sans tree.

And this is the opposite wall. The bar side. Seeing that it's set up as an Irish Bar, I think the colors are rather appropriate!
