The Daisy Rock Daisy Bass in Dreamy Daisy Yellow. :eek::confused: (You can't make this up folks - that's their catalog's description of the thing.)

This ...um...bass instrument(?) is just flat out wrong on so many levels...:rollno:

(Funny though how it doesn't really sound half bad once you plug it in.) :laugh:

I'm curious as to how Warwick created that rusty finish. My head says they used some sort of metal and actually rusted it (and then sealed it to prevent further rusting and possible injuries) but that sounds too farfetched.

You're in luck, then!

LPB has always been metallic, and Fiesta Red has never been metallic. Y'know, the way they're opposed to be. ;)

I agree. Fiesta red comes in so many shades/versions - from bright tomato red to dusty rose. I've found pic's on line of late 50's T-birds (the car) with different shades of FR.

I have a Flower in Awesome Blue and a Heart in Red Hot Red. Not that bad basses. Cheap electronics, but play well and sound like you'd expect. With electronic upgrades they'd easily be giggable.

Just wondering something, when you say "as supposed to", do you actually mean "as opposed to" ?

I'm envious. I kept meaning to grab one of those heart models when they first came out. I thought it would be a real goof using one on stage some night.

My guitarist GF has one of their Stardust Retro-H guitars - a semi-hollow with dual mini-humbuckers that drips attitude both sonically and visually. Nice fast neck too. One of two on the clearance rack at GC, it set us back something like $99. I sometimes wish we bought both.

It's quite a cool little guitar. Small surprise though. "Daisy" is Tish Ciravolo, wife of Michael Ciravolo, president of Schecter Guitars. He gave her a lot of good advice and a leg up when she was setting up her own guitar company. The Schecter plant actually built some the earliest Daisy Rock models before Daisy ultimately shifted their manufacturing operations over to Asia.

I like that. It's a good design. Kind of a fan of the semi hollowbody with one F hole. Looks like it's close to Ice Blue Metallic or Blue Agave. Both colors I like. Yeah, I know who Tish is. I've looked at the Daisy Rock line since it was released and follow them on FaceBook.

To each his own, but I really detest this kind of look. Like someone went crazy in shop class. I have done some woodworking, so I do admire the skill and craft, but I have never cared for highly figured woods on instruments and this is just nauseating to me.

Yeah, I had a friend in college who saved up for semesters--no eating out, no beer or smoke unless someone gave it to him...guy didn't even pay to do his laundry, all so he could buy this:

... and then he wouldn't let anyone touch it or point at it. He was so worried about how "valuable" it was, he didn't even have fun with it. I remember thinking "For the money he spent on that, and all the scrimping and saving, I could have bought ten cool pawn shop guitars to pass around and have a blast on."

I have zero interest anymore in owning things that are so expensive or "precious" I have to worry about them.

I love warwicks but those natural ovangkol and bubinga oiled bodies look like flea market coffee tables IMO.
I hate that sky blue from EBMM.
black and rosewood is as unoriginal as a kia rondo.

tobacco SB is awful and I don't smoke.
