Horrible Stock Colors

I would prefer this green/tort to any of the colors you mentioned. This thread just proves that we are all different with different likes and dislikes. Nothing more; nothing less.

That particular combo doesn't bother me too much, I'd prefer a lighter shade of blue for sure, but I see what you're saying. The Ibanez TMB300 in Metallic Forest is hideous imo. Surf/seafoam with tort, ok, bold green and tort, no thank you.

The Metallic Forest on it's own is fine, it being combined with the red tort is what makes it so ugly imo. Red and green are opposites on the color wheel, and imo the most obnoxious pair of opposites there is. Changing the green to a much lighter shade can help to let the colors compliment each other, but bold green and bold red is just terrible. IMO.
They're complimentary colors :P

Great thread!! Everyone's bass color has been trashed I think. My tastes have changed so much that I've liked and disliked about every color over the years.

I don't see myself ever liking Antigua, Burgundy mist, or midnight wine. Love the golds, blues, and green vintage Fender colors!

I know it's everyone's favorite... but Fender style sunburst to me looks like a toilet bowl that nobody has ever washed, and like someone's following the "if it's yellow, leave it mellow" policy... add a tort guard, and it looks like someone vomited blood into it, to boot. And yes. I know what bloody vomit looks like, from experience. It looks like tort pickguards.

… but how do you really feel about it?
