I can dig it. It's got a crude vibe but it looks refined at the same time. That make sense? It's definitely different from a lot of axes I've seen, but not obnoxiously so.

I can dig it. I have been wanting to build a P bass with some nice looking wood and a darker neck. Mine would have a dimarzio pickup in it, but this one is quite nice looking(to me).

Love the looks and I think it would sound really interesting. However I wouldn't pay $1450 for that...specifically since it's essentially a no-name parts-bass and none of us know who put it together or if they knew what they were doing.

I didn't used to like wood finish, but have really started to come around, this P bass really helps cement the deal!

I like wood finishes, but not with black hardware. If it had silver hardware and a slightly less hardcore wood grain, I'd be all over it like a fat kid on a cupcake.

I like natural finishes, but this doesn't do it for me.

I like it. It's short one low B string though, but other than that it's OK.

The grain down the center back is a nice detail.

Looks ok to me. I am more considered about the tone and weight balance. I have played a Jazz bass with exactly the same choice of woods and it was really neck heavy and VERY dark sounding.

I would probably not pull the trigger on this without playing it first.

Price is too high for a parts bass, sure quality components tho'

Those Hipshot are HB2 tuners... they're not matte black at all:
they're the authentic Hipshot black, so on them I'd put a BT2 bass extender

A bridge Quarter Pound J pickup (or one more split) wouldn't hurt either and the suggestion, on a bass like that, of a DiMarzio (maybe a Classic ModelP) is not a bad one considerin' that combo

Europe's John Levén used to play somethin' like that on his Glenn Hughes' days.

Wenge necks are a great. I haven't had a fretted bass with anything else in years. Not totally liking the body but its workable. I would probably add a j pickup, a 3 way toggle and a pickgaurd if it was mine
