Is there a way to know when a string is about to snap or do strings break unpredictably?

OP keeps posting the same weird nonsense, and you guys give him 8 pages. Just. Stop.
Here we go again.
Are we being punked or is there something dark and disturbing going on...again?
By the 2 measure rest before your solo.Is there a way to know when a string is about to snap or do strings break unpredictably?
Already reported.A quick search under "breaking Strings" reveals quite a few topics, all started by gc** expounding on his creeping fear of strings breaking.
Tiresome, actually.
Then we'll just have to hope someone breaks a string, puts their eye out with the flying metal sheathed string of death and is forced to sit quietly in a dark room with their head heavily bound up.Already reported. "Request denied. Posting about this topic is allowed on TB."
The Rovco™ Pocket Pal can detect imminent string breakage up to 10 seconds in advance.Seems like they should have a phone app for that by now
The OP breaks strings on purpose and tries to see how much winding he can induce until they pop. These are the only threads he comments on or starts. He is going to indeed hurt himself, instead of just playing the bass like a real musician. I honestly don't think he even has a bass---he is coming over from the guitar side and just posting this nonsense. Then we'll just have to hope someone breaks a string, puts their eye out with the flying metal sheathed string of death and is forced to sit quietly in a dark room with their head heavily bound up.
Edit I frankly should be reported for that hostility.
