I love how they look but something about the texture of those guards gives me the heeby jeebies if I touch them

The problem I have had with aluminum pickguards is the texture. If they are not really smooth (like when they have that brushed texture) I can't abide, otherwise they look great.
. The anodizing can be a little fragile though if you’re touching it a lot.

If you don't mind my asking, where did you find this gold pickguard? I have looked for a 13-hole gold anodized pickguard for my P-bass for months!

Yours looks like a more solid, less nuanced version of the above.
I want to not like yours but can’t convince myself.

You need to be seen playing this 
im only conflicted by the contrast of black pickups and mixing gold + silver hardware but i think it could only look worse trying other combos
