Spec it out right after we got back from dinner last night :)

SX Ursa 4 RN PBU
Neck: straight feeler gauge test w/ capo
String action: at the 17th fret 6/64 bass side 5/64 tremble
Intonation: all strings correct
paint: great
neck pocket: nice fit
shipping: in a guitar box, bass covered in a plastic bag then it is wrapped in a foam cover. Strings have a paper sleeve covering them. The pickups are covered in a protective plastic as is the pick guard.

Tone both pickups on full and the bass rolled in P bass
bridge pick up only jazz type tone bass rolled off a little
neck pick only absolutely Jaguar with bass rolled off a little
playability: comfortable neck and no neck dive, neck width at the nut is 1 9/16 width at the 21st fret is 2 1/2

When last I posted, I had just gotten a 1995 Fender Standard USA P to replace my Glen Burton starter bass. I really didn't think I'd have a need for anything else. Well, since then I picked up a brand new Ibanez AEB10B and some Gibson SG knockoff from ages ago. At least, I think it is, there are no markings on it that I can see. It's so old and was used so sparingly that the neck has bowed and the truss rod basically gotten stuck in the neck. Plus, the action is insanely high, partly due to the neck issue. It was also filthy. After cleaning it up and bringing the action down as much as possible, it's now sitting in a warm, moist room to allow the neck to straighten "naturally". So far, after two weeks, the rod has come loose enough to where we could put a half turn on it. We're going to let it sit another couple of weeks and see what happens. But after that, if it's not perfect, we may have to take more drastic measures. So, it's a project. Whatever, it cost me all of $20 at an estate sale, with original Gibson case.

As for the AEB, I wasn't sure if I'd like it but, after two days, I was in love. She now goes to most of my jams with me, mostly because they are acoustic jams.
