Had to change my vote to 21+.
I bought my seventh Vantage VP-710B, bringing my total up to 21 :)

have to say it will be mainly four bases with me for playing this or that (rock, metal, some popular and well known songs with cool base lines)

Harley Benton 550B - fretless with double bass sound

Ibanez BTB1935 - that's base sound as it should be. I was supprised by the difference in sound... the 1835 has ash wings, the 1935 mahagony

Sire M7 - the brightest sounding base and it has switchable single coil mode (the Marcus Miller PU in Humbucker mode are not that nice). The 1835 has ash wings the M7 has swamp ash body.

Yamaha TRBX 504 - that's where I started with. Still good after many years, and it will stay here because of good memories with our baby playing with it some years ago. Now the girl is nearly 4 and has her own guitar (the pink one) and asks me to jam already, also she can cable gits and amps since she was 2

And two bases I am not playing

Ibanez BTB1835 - will sell that one soon, got it used and will sell it, I am not satisfied with the sound coming from the factory strings... delivering kind of nasal sound. As I have the 1935 which comes with NYXL too it's not the strings or the pickups. Some folks love it I don't.

Peavey Grindbass NTB5 - about 20 years old, but the neck is sort of instable. More for DIY projects, like pickup mount or experimenting with electronics. Actually its pure passive, and no PU blend. 2x volume and 2x tone

Er... uhhh... Ya know the strings are replaceable...? Cheap... o_O

Tim

I didn't say anything about strings. Theoretically I can replace anything, even the guitar. Like the M7 which came to me unadjusted for 1000$ sales price. This is no-go and ask for refund, because adjusting it in a repair shop is 50$

Hmm.. my mistake...I guess.

Not a ding, dent, scratch on it. Gold hardware still gold and not worn off or oxidized. Brass nut still looks good. Real time capsule bass.

This thing is a real sleeper. I happened to come across it on MGR. Lowest price I ever saw on one
Amazing shape and the neck feels thin and fast (for me anyway)

Oh my.... some of you make me feel not terrible about some of my life choices. I have 5 basses and was quite uneasy about it. That has changed now :D
I hope I helped alleviate your uneasiness. (And Terribleness)
That’s what we do here at TB besides help enable purchases :smug: as well as help relieve G.A.S.:woot:
