this thread is good for a laugh, i voted yes, but only because i only have a tuner, compressor, and vt bass, 2/3 of my pedal board are always on

i used to have a chorus which i loved but never got played and a octave that was awesome but only got used on 2 songs, so they went, i can think of better things to spend the money on when i dont have the disposable income for pedals to be sitting around, stuffs gotta pull its weight around here.

I "noodle" at home but, I call it practice. I use a POD X3 at home but if I ever go back to playing in front of people I wouldn't use effects. Maybe a compressor and EQ but nothing else. The best effects I've used are my hands.

If you're going to attempt to be a troll, at least have some critical thinking skills, creativity, and command of the language.

Just another sad, attention seeking person trying to feel powerful behind a keyboard. I must confess though, I've gotten some enjoyment from reading the thread and imagining the OP as a six year old kid hiding behind his Mom, popping out to shout responses, then hiding behind her dress again.

Go back to your room and let the big people talk, okay? Yes, you can have an ice cream.

I invite you all to go to Recordings and check out Olson's and my Battle Of The Little Wings. In another thread, I had enough of Olson acting like some bigshot when he hasn't done a thing of note and I told him so, and he challenged me to best his version of Little Wing. So it's pro wrestling day on TB...go over to Recordings and see what you think.

How many of you use each of your pedals on your pedalboard on at least 3 songs by a band you gig live with? I expect a lot of people won't answer. I expect there's a lot of people out there with pedalboards just for fun, and that's fine. I want to know as a percentage how many TB'ers on the effects forum actually use their pedalboards with a live band. If you have any pedal on your pedalboard you use on less than 3 songs in a live gigging environment, answer NO. If you get good mileage out of what you bother to carry with you to a gig answer YES.

In terms of effects I bring what's needed and leave the rest at home.

Hey guys, I own a number of effects, but don't even own a pedal board or use them live. :crying: (Unless you count the original Roland 201 Space Echo that we keep at the sound board)

Do I need to tell the band to cancel tonight's gig because I'm a bedroom player?!? :bawl:

No, you need to cancel because Mark Olson said you're a bedroom player. They won't understand if you say you're a bedroom player...they will only understand if Mark Olson says it.

BTW, last I checked that poll it was 18-3. Someone is getting trounced, and it ain't me ;) But hey, anything could happen between now and then...so keep the faith, Mark.

EDIT: 21-3 now.

I think it's obvious that Mr. Olson is using his ego to overcompensate for something...

Oh yeah, I play in a lot of different types of bands. One of them is an electronica band where I use all 11-15 of my pedals on almost every song. Some groups I just use the compressor the whole night. I am not about to break down and re-wire my pedalboard just because Im not using something for a particular gig. This thread is just an attempt for M.O. to make himself feel better by picking on people who play/use effects just for fun.

I voted carrots because you RRRRRRUURRRRUUUUZZZZZ are too confining. Yes I have pedals I use on 3+ songs and I have pedals I use on only one and I have one on there that I don't really use much but it's there for the if type of deal.
