I liked your post about the woman changing her clothes. At age 12! Cool deal! The gay thing is pretty weird. I am not insulting gays, but I think Mr. Creme De Menthe should've been after someone his sexual preference.

No, the gay dude wasn't after me; he was quite cool, actually. He dropped the mannerisms when he talked to me and for a gay guy, he understood what women wanted....

As for the women changing clothes, I can still picture their white lacy underwear and... perhaps I should stop there. Don't want to offend....

I started playing bass in '98 when I was a freshman in college. My guitarist friend and I eventually started jamming and found a drummer. Our first gig was probably in early 2000 or so when I was 19...it was a birthday party for a friend of our guitarist/singer. It almost was our last gig too, as he started really freaking out when his amp head died suddenly (that's what he got for switching from a Marhsall to a Crate, I guess). Fortunately he found a backup and the rest of the show went on pretty much OK. Wish I had a tape of that show, as I'm sure my playing was pretty terrible for the most part.

"Great," said the child. "I learned how to play a 'C'."

The next week the child took another lesson and his father asked about the lesson.

"Terrific," said the child. "I learned how to play a 'G'."

The following week the child did not come home. The father was frantic when the child finally came home after 2:00 AM.

"Where in the hell have you been," screamed the father.


"I had a gig," answered the son.

i think it was in 94' or so i was about 14? or 15?

we did a night of nirvana covers cause it was like a week after Kurt died but yeah that was it.. after we found out he died.. we chose the best songs we can.. no not teen spirt and that but things from incestide and things like that... we prepared like 2 or 3 weeks and it was really great!

Got paid $5 for playing at a "Folk Mass" - Still have the $5 bill encased in plastic, too. That was 40 years ago, and I STILL earn NOTHING from music.......
