How old were you when you had your first gig :D

13. I was the youngest band member and was playing keyboards. About a month later our bass player quit and then I switched over to bass. That's when I started getting all the chicks!

First "fer-real" regular payin' gig was playing with a big swing band on the SS Admiral; readin' charts all night.
I was 17 then.

I'm not 17 now.

14. Played a high school dance after a basket ball game.

I was 16 playing at a school talent show. I was playing my appalling 'Gould' bass, through one of my teachers tube amps. We played 'The man who can't be moved' by the script. Let's just say we didn't win the show...

18 when i played a college gig, 19 when i played a proper gig

I was 17 at a place called The Rage in Baltimore, Md. I was in a thrash metal/punk band that played in the Baltimore-Washington D.C. area in the early 90's. I had to lie to my parents and tell them I was either working late or going to my friend's house all night in order to play these gigs. They got suspicious when they saw all my guitar gear and wondered why I needed so much gear for playing at church. I was a good liar, though.

16 and it was last week XD it might not have counted as a gig but I played a few songs with my friends band at a county fair. Was also my first time being an official sound guy.
