HUGE TRADE GONE BAD

That's a step in the right direction dharma. He needs to be prosecuted for this crap and if your bass has been compromised in anyway then he should be ordered to make restitution.
I've only had once LD transaction on a guitar and it was a great experience for both of us I think. He had a nice instrument and a good price on it. The only haggling we did was I asked him to cover the shipping costs if I paid full asking price. For what it was the price was very fair and I was willing to pay it.
Turns out he was from my old neck of the woods and we've become good internet friends ever since. I've had worse luck than this locally. I think 99% of us here would no more think of screwing a fellow member that we would steal a car.
Whatever this kid's name he found out pretty quickly how fast new can spread and you can be exposed in a close knit internet community such as this.
Regardless of the who what when and where it was nice to see members rally to the cause.
My faults are of my own. Nobody in my band is to blame or aware of any of this. The other three are at a rehearsal dinner. Just now informed, though in disbelief. I have done wrong, I am attempting to contact those affected and rectify things. I deserve worse. Please leave the band alone. I put in my notice tonight and I am selling off all my gear in order to try to pay back those affected. This is all low of me. And I'm sure I will be bashed for even returning and offering money as restitution. I am throwing in the towl for music. I am 19, and will as soon as all things are sold and paid back, be broke and only have a low highschool education. I have brought the end to my own chance at a better life I am sure. This by far the biggest lapse of judgement one could make. This is an honest attempt to offer some fix to things. Mods, please do not remove my account until I have fully closed off with the parties at hand
According to his FB page, he graduated HS just last year. That probably means he's over 18 so if these felonies are prosecuted, they will be following him around for a long, long time.

Actually, unless you are pulling everyone's leg here and this is a huge Punk being pulled, yes you do deserve worse. You've committed fraud and felony theft and since you are 19 you are legally an adult and can spend some time in a new, smelly environment with bars on the windows where you will make lots of interesting new friends whether you want to or not...
So, if this is the Real Deal, clean up your mess and hope everyone's feeling merciful, there's a good fellow....
But how you gonna collect if you win? This little turd probably has nothing worth collecting on.
