That was a bit sad. I really hope Billy's' hearing can be fixed up. The man could really sing well and Africa was a masterpiece.
Wheezer didn't do near as good a job as some of the earlier Toto performances.
 
This HAS to be one of the "shred" videos...right?

Although when I looked this up on YouTube, a few videos down there was a video of him "rehearsing" this with a different band in what looked like somebody's basement...he did better on the verses, but completely missed the chorus.
 
Phew, this was wild! I like and respect the hell out of Toto's vocals; this could not have been more surprising. I figured for sure he would back off on the chorus the way Bon Jovi does on Living On A Prayer. Full commitment. And he doesn't stay in any relative key either; it's atonal yelling.

Norm is what throws me off, as while he has incredible chops, I feel he typically uses them... responsibly.
Norm is the person that convinced me to stop overplaying because it ruins songs. This was just another dip in the rollercoaster of emotions I felt while watching this.
