I’m excepting it as humorous entertainment. If I was in Germany I’d probably go catch a tour date. It’s got to be quite the experience in person.

I agree - no doubt he knows he just doesn’t have the chops anymore.

I asked Mike Porcaro (RIP) about Bobby Kimball years ago, and why he was no longer singing with the band. He mentioned they had actually re-auditioned Bobby at one point for one of the tours, but he no longer had the chops (this was 25+ years ago.) I’m sure it’s been difficult for him for decades.

My favorite part of the video is how Norm (or whoever the bassist is) seems to be constantly trying to distance himself from what's going on on stage, or....at least get out of the camera shot if he can, to minimize the association he has with the event. For a while I have admiration for his instincts. Then it all goes South as he....decides to double down with that..."solo".

I play on stages where we're all amateurs (albeit very good ones), and..no way I'd ever volunteer to play with that guy (or accept money to go do that gig). The just isn't enough money in the world.
