I’ve been an Aguilar guy for over a decade but I’m not sure I’ve ever been so happy with the tone I’m getting than with what I’ve been running as of late.

I picked up a second AG700 and using them together allows me to run six 8 ohm cabs, or two 4 ohm and two 8 ohm, or some combination of any of those cabs. All the power and headroom I could ever need. Plus they look fantastic.

I have a DB751, Bergantino NV610 and a couple DB112 as well but I think the AG/SL combinations are killer.

Sweetest tone I ever heard live was a Lakland 44-64 through an AG700 with whatever Aguilar cab they had.

The AG700 is killer. I know it's cleaner than the ToneHammer amps but it doesn't lack for punch, bottom end, and clarity. I use a ToneHammer DI on my pedalboard but I wish they made an AGDI!

That looks like it sounds very impressive! I had an AG500 dual channel not too long ago and that was a beast. Had to sell it to pay bills but after a while got a Schertler BF15, and added an Aguilar DB925 just today. The DB makes all the difference, Aguilar!

How light is light?

Gotta say. They're great looking cabs. Never seen one live. Not a big fan of the TH though. For most they sound great but I'm one of those weird people who found them kind of fiddly.

Probably would've work out better if I could have a day or two to get more acquainted with one. I only played a TH 350 once for about 20 minutes so there's that too.

I agree! I’ve had many class D heads, including the TH500, and the AG700 is my personal favorite, particularly matched up with their SL cabs. For lightweight gear it’s hard to beat!

I’ve used Agz on backline. They’re great. I think I prefer the AG over the TH, although a TH through an Ampeg SVT410he sounds fat, tight and punchy.
Last backline I had was a TH700 with an Ag 410 and 115. I unplugged the 115.

Such a crazy thing this bass world. I still think the SL cabs are the worst cabs I’ve ever heard or owned. But so many people seem to like them. I guess that is what makes the world go round

Those cabs are just under 25lb each. They’re very portable. I can carry my bass & amp in a gig bag on my back with a cab in each hand. Load-in in one trip without straining anything. That’s a win!

With regard to tone, I run the TH500 flat with a little gain and it replicates the sound of my bass perfectly. I’ve been through so many boutique and standard amps/cabs and have never found anything to beat Aguilar.
