I Present the IdiotBox Effects's Blower Box

Well the tracking on my BB finally got updated. Yet another instance of USPS only scanning it once it goes through the last stop before leaving the country. But, looks like it should b in Canada tomorrow, so maybe here next week if customs is not too slow! Getting closer, getting closer!

Got mine today. Sounds good but I reckon it could do with a clean blend, so I might look into modding it. It has decent enough lows but the low end is too compressed for me, I always prefer a bit of blend with heavy fuzz/distortion to add the punch back in.

Odd. I was actually astonished how much punch was retained. Obviously it will behave differently depending on settings and entirety of rigs. And I was using some seriously punchy EV15L's.

Ordered mine yesterday. I've always really liked the Rat sound, but not the low-end loss. Sounds like this will be right up my alley.
You will be stoked (Pretty sure). It sounds more like a tube amp ripping apart with Rat tendencies than an actual Rat homage. No disrespect but my rig sounds very little like yaksonators audio clip. Much more full but that is probably in the capture/ record process. But really a loud amp and studio might be needed to capture all the harmonic overtones when pushing this through a tube power section.

Depends on your definition of 'punch' I guess. I mean the low end thump that comes through on the note attack. Turn up the bass control and it is there, more so than any other RAT pedal, but I just like to add some dynamics back in by adding a little bit of clean tone in there.

We have the same definition. I keep bass at about 65-70%, treble at about 35-45%. I didn't think it lacked punch and I am only mentioning it because how much I thought it retained it. So just deducing that the end to end chain plays a larger role in results and micro-dynamics. Let us know about the mod if you do it. Blend control is never a negative.

Got mine on Saturday. Had two days to play around with it, and boy, do I love it. It's very different from anything else I currently have on my pedalboard, which was a nice surprise. Played with my 4003, I had to dial the high end way down as it got really clanky very quickly. With my fretless P, I was able to bring some of that high end back and add some aggression to that tone. Exceptionally flexible pedal. I'm very, very pleased.

Just got mine, and by got mine I mean I checked my tracking to find out that the mailman had left it on my doorstep. So, I went to fetch it and I have to say, it is pretty darn good. Definitely different from my RK. Not bad different mind you. Lots of low end. Works great when mixed with a clean signal. It will definitely stay on the board.

By the way, isn't the packing amazing on this? How are prices this low?
