3) G&L L2000E

And add:
4) Modulus Q5 fretless w/Barts
5) Modulus Q5 fretless sweet spot w/EMG
6) Modulus Q6 w/Barts
7) Modulus Q5 fretted sweet spot
8) The Roscoe 7-string that Gard brought to the get together
9) Sadowsky 4-string Jazz bass
10) '76 MM Stingray

Of course there's more but.......:cool:

Seriously though, if the purpose for the basses is collecting rather than actually playing, I'd probably want to try completely different things from different luthiers whom I've come to really admire the appearance of their work, but haven't been able to try their basses (ie: Bebensee, Thompson, Zon, Huff, etc). There is a lot of really beautiful craftsmenship out there, plus I'm pretty sure their basses don't sound half bad, either.

The first thing I would have to do, is get a new house or somewhere to put all those basses!! I like living in the middle of a lively city and this means we don't have the space for more than 1 or 2 basses and besides you can't play more than one at time - I can't see the point in collecting things that are meant to be played, if you can't do them justice?

I would rather see basses go to somebody who is actually going to play them regularly, than spend most of their time sitting around gathering dust.

Just my personal opinion!

7. Alembic 6 String Fretless, Ebony for pretty much everything that it can be used for, with a mahogany core.
8. 12 String Stick with midi
9. 7 Sting Conklin Fretless
10. Enough time to finish the fretless 6 that I am working on now

That's a valid perspective. OTOH I live in the middle of a lively city and have no space issues... then again we generally have more space here in the states.

I guess doing justice is a personal thing... I play what I want when I want to. Seems like a decent plan to me.

Then again, if no one else was going to buy them, what should be their fate?

Anyway... in my case there's no dust on any of my stuff. On any given day I probably play at least five of my basses.
