IK TONEX pedal

Okay, for any Tonex One users who have been dealing with this, I figured out the monitoring tone models in the app while using the pedal as an interface without using external interfaces.

1. The pedal definitely needs to be in stomp mode with the pedal disengaged. You can do this in the app or on the pedal directly, it makes no difference.
2. This will allow you to hear the model being used in the app while playing.
3. When you setup your present and move it back over to the pedal, engage the pedal and disengage the amp model in the app by clicking off the "amp power switch" shown in the app for the particular model you're using.

If you don't do this you'll be running two presets on top of each other and not accurately hearing what's going on in the pedal.

4. When you start the process, should you find your only hearing a direct unaffected signal from your pedal. Go to the audio settings in the app, switch off off the ASIO and then switch back. That should reset everything and have it working as intended.

IMO, IK Multimedia really needs to add this to their quick start guide that comes with the pedal. It's not the most intuitive and I would truly hope any future firmware updates work to smooth out this process.

Tons of great bass amps

Ampeg
Mark
GK
etc

great preamps too

I use 3rd party IRs all the time, though

Shiftline and York are my go-to IRs
I have found a GK MB 150 on tone net that is unbelievably good! I have for the most part used this amp on gigs for the last few years

I’m impressed with this pedal and want to find a handful of go to tones!

Zoot Horn Rollo - I use various plugins and Tonex amp modeling with my DAW for bass recording during song production. Do you think the MS-60B would be a good pedal to own for recording? Or is it better suited for live performance (where I can achieve similar results via Tonex/plug-ins/IR in-the-box).

I use the MS-60B+ for recording now.

The 60B+ is especially nice into the ToneX ONE and into my Babyface Pro and Studio One Pro v6

I have ToneX MAX VST and always struggled with levels

Until I placed the MS-60B+ and ToneX ONE pedals before my RME

It's nice not having to deal with amp sim cpu loading

The only 2 plugins I add to my bass tracks now are Overloud's LA3A comp and Fabfilter's Pro-R2

Plus, the MS-60B+ has branched routing to the right output for affected and DI tracks simultaneously

Zoom gets 5 stars for this update

ToneX ONE gets 5 bangs as well

Any bass players out there who own a reissue SVT that are interested in a fun project?

Karlis (Amalgam Audio) would like to create a capture set of an SVT for bass players. He found a shop in his home country of Latvia that might loan him a reissue Ampeg SVT in exchange for a video of a bass player playing through the SVT. Ideally this would require:
- video of you playing some bass lines with the SVT in the background. Face and head shot not required unless you prefer.
- audio recording should be a good recording of the bass DI, unprocessed. Karlis can then reamp the audio through the shop's SVT for the final video.

The original request on gearspace can be found in this page of the Amalgam thread.

Thanks!
