I been racking my brain over this TNC thing since my earliest days here, today I find out what it means. Sometimes the simplest things escape me. Sorta a let down considering all the other stuff I was coming up with for it. Mostly all I could think of was GFR TNUC, but that U just kept throwing me off.
I'm having a difficult time understanding some of these posts, because of all of the acronyms.
Maybe... Y'all would be kind enough to "educate" Me, on some of these?
Let's start here... ***, is NBD!!!???
Thank You, kindly.

~@Marc DLarosa Welcome to TalkBass. I have another for you.
GAS = Gear Acquisition Syndrome. You will see a multitude of beautiful basses posted on TalkBass and you want to own them all! Ha

~Cracks me up, how 100% of these threads "morph"...

Welcome aboard the good ship Looney Toons, Marc.
If you just got a single combo amp, would it be: got one new amp day or GONAD?Someone a few days ago got, like a new head and cab and didn't know if he should list it as NAD or NCD.
I suggested, in the event of multiple purchases, that he could use NSD. - New Stuff Day.![]()
Regarding the "Bob Babbitt" entry in the learning links: the session musicians known as "The Wrecking Crew" were based in Los Angeles, not Detroit. Carol Kaye famously occupied the bass chair there.
WTBXFM = What's the best (X) for metal?
I agree. Have the same issue at workI've been on this forum for a long time, formerly as greybeard and now as Ampslut and I hate these dang acronyms. It doesn't take that much more time or effort to type out New Bass Day. I just think they make things a bit tribal or klanish, like you are not a member of the "club" if you don't know all the acronyms.
