How so?

If I launch Audiobus, then Cubasis, then Amplitube and JamUp they all seem to play fairly nicely
with each other, although the icon for Amplitube in the little Audiobus control popup is blank.

Tap the blank square where the Amplitube icon should be and see if it works for you then.

I'm having trouble getting Amplitude to save patches where I want them,
but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the upgrades as I just started using it.

The two Ampegs sound pretty good, and I love the Univibe...

When I try to launch a AmpKit+ instance along with the other two all I get is an amazing wash of white noise...

Tweaking is fine. Just don't start twerking on us. LOL.

In all seriousness, though, that's the solution I had, transpose the note up at MidiMorphosis and the tracking issue and resultant note jumps more or less disappeared depending on how I played.

what's the big motivation to get Pro upgrade? I'm not sure there's something there I can't live without, unless I'm missing something

It's just the versatility and flexibility to try sounds through amps, amp combinations and effects I'd never buy "for real." Every so often I hit on something really cool. For a few bucks (maybe the cost of a "real" pedal or two) I have numerous amp and pedal effect options.

Same reason I use Jam-Up but still have Ampkit and Amplitube on my device and add effects or amps every now and then. Same reason I've added midimorphosis and some synths to my device. Curiosity and experimentation rather affordably.

Never wanted to try a high gain pedal through a filter into a screaming guitar amp? There was a time when I didn't either.

Tried it, liked it, would never use it live or in a band setting but it got my creative juices going differently.

I wish Audiobus would allow me to force apps to the right or left side. That way, I could have bass out one side and synth/drums/ect on the other side. This way I could have separate EQing live.

What about supporting the developers? I always buy the paid version of an app if I like it and use it. It will hopefully motivate the developer to improve the product. Now, somebody like Positive Grid, they came to TalkBass asked us what we want and delivered! I think they deserve the support of the Pro version. ;)

+1. I started out on the free version of Jamup, and have gradually bought every pack in-app. I have two left, the Metal and the Classic, I think. I'll be getting them the next one there's a sale. They have some cool stuff, but I've already bought several of the included pedals separately so I'm in no rush.

As for the guitar-oriented stuff, most of it works awesomely on bass.

I also totally agree with Duke21. Positive Grid has a fantastic relationship with its users. No other company has come here to ask what we want, and then delivered. Not just delivered one of two requested pedals, either. They delivered EVERYTHING we asked for.

Now, about that bass synth, crossover pedal, and dual signal chains in Jamup...;)

I already have all of the JamUp bundles other than the 8 track.

I don't know what I'd do with a fifth recording app...

I'd buy another pack that would let me run a second instance though...

I have no problem supporting PG and other developers who listen to us lusers...

If I'm honest, I'll end up with Pro and the effects, at the very least. I bought both bass packs yesterday, and I'm diggin them, if not for the amps alone.

So now, I'm using Mobile POD for the chorus/Flange, and Jamup for the main amp sound. I have to say, it's pretty fantastic. I can run them parallel or serial with Audiobus.

I wish I had this when I was a pro, some 20 years ago.

It's a good idea, and I'm thinking along the same wavelength. I'm not sure what's the best way to make all this happen, though. What I don't know is which DAW has/uses the least amount of resources. I'm looking at OnSong, Mobile POD, Jamup, Midimorphisis, some kind of drum machine, and/or a DAW, with BlueTooth bouncing around in there. I'm guessing that may be a lot to throw at an iPad4 without too much latency.

Anyone try running this much stuff at the same time?

Indeed, Adam wanted a Fender Bassman, he got it. I wanted the Orange and the Bass,
master, got it, Paul wanted the Acoustic. We have asked for a para EQ, HP filter, got it. We bass players have 2 GK's, 2 Bassman's, 2 Ampegs, the legendary Acoustic 360, the legendary SWR Redhead the legendary Hiwatt 103 which is great for a crunchy bass tone, the legendary Sansamp BDDI, the legendary Bassmaster, Big Muff bass, EBS octave, LA2 comp.
Crazy gear list. One thing is sure, PG could marked themselves as iOS bassist first.

I like the physical knobs on the Behringer, but two things:

1) Only for iPad, not iPhone;

2) These docks have had major issues in the past, with wonky connections and such. Didn't the Alesis version pretty much suck?

I'm sitting here this morning with my fingers crossed. My iPhone 5S is due to be delivered tomorrow. I'm REALLY hoping that the included lightning-to-USB cable works with my Apogee Jam, otherwise my iOS rig is in storage till I can get the proper cabling.
