Must be just the free version. I got the update, even though I upgraded the free to the pro.

I upgraded to Pro from free also and I saw the update... wish I knew what they did but the description is quite devoid of actual update notes and I'm not the kind of person that is going to check out every little thing looking for what was optimized.

Likely they updated both versions of the app but Apple has only approved one of them so far.

I guess I'm joining the revolution! I recently got an iPhone, and I'm trying out some of these apps you guys have talked about. I want to eventually stop lugging an amp altogether. Can anyone tell me what kind of sound-reinforcement issues I'll face if I go this route? Various clubs have various levels of PA equipment, from awesome to none. So how do you guys handle this?

+1 to the in-ears suggestion. After having played using IEMs to monitor my rig for so long, we recently went back to rehearsing with amps and a PA for a very important opening slot which we'll need to have wedges for. I hear everything much better with my IEMs, and honestly prefer them due to the ability of my mix to follow me wherever I need to go. We hire out PA and send any sound company our stage plot with a specific request to let us know if they cannot fulfill our needs.

I will be rocking the JamUp effects tonight rather than using the iPhone for a full rig. The sound is just outstanding! And MUCH less money than buying all the effects I get to play with..

Of course, I did have to buy the iPhone.

I saved up for a new rig, then went shopping and found something interesting. I could buy an iPad4, OnSong, Jamup pro, an interface for the guitar in, and more, for the same money I was going to spend on a rack rig.

I believe that the iOS rig is a good choice due to it's flexibility and low cost, when compared to a more common rack solutions. ... In my opinion. Although, I am seriously considering the MarkBass tube preamp before all the iStuff. But, I'm wondering if it's needed. Modeling has come a long way in even the last year.

Hey, did anyone check out Jamup since the update? More specifically the Tron?

This is another "bug update" type of thing. I just spent over 45 minutes totally engrossed in the tones coming from the Super Bassman, EBS Octaver and the Tron. Wow.

It improved overall, and has a new look. Sounds incredible. There were some real changes made with this update. Sounds even better than before.

Hmmm. Just looked at it and its totally re-skinned. Gonna have to fire it up.

I wish PG wasn't so vague about what the updates contain.

I was just jamming on it, mainly on the swr and both gk's and didn't notice any sound improvements. I wish one of these optimization or bug fixes would add the boost to the gk amps.

I heard a pronounced improvement on the low end of the 360, seems tighter. Less boomy.

And the Super Bassman is my new love. The mids now seem to have more range of adjustment.

Of course, this is just my settings. But I swear I could hear an improvement in the overall sound of Jamup.

Still not available. They're the same people that make the PUC, which is a really promising piece.

Edit: my mistake. The Jamstik looks to be available, but the PUC is not.

Checking out the updated Envelope Filter ( previously the Qmodel ). WOW! The filter is certainly richer. However, the BOOST control does not seem to do anything at all.. possibly broken like the PRESENCE was on the GK 700 ?

Wow. Definite improvements. My 361 patches are much tighter seeming. And I played with the Tron, too. Finally found a really good way of using it. The autowah seems a bit different too, but that could be the amp, too.

So, I see that like earlier the update is to the Jamup XT and not to the Jamup Pro XT. Which gave me an idea! I'm downloading the Jamup XT, why? As these two apps are not the same I can run both in Audiobus for dual Amping using only Jamup!

No they don't. The free version is an independent app. Any purchases from the free version remain in the free version only.

I'm finding that everything I do in Jamup is just too muddy. Does anyone else have this issue? It seems like everything sounds much better in ampkit with the same bass/headphones/etc.

Also I'm a little confused about the volume in the top right. Does that adjust the input volume to the amp or does it cut the output? Basically, if I am redlining, should I adjust the upper right volume or the volume in the amp itself?

I just used the JamUp app last night at a gig and got some compliments on my sound. I primarily used a preset with the Big Muff, Flanger, EQ, and Noise Gate. It all sounded so perfect. I'm really amazed at what iOS apps can do.
