Oh bummer, I've been making purchases from within the free version and considering the upgrade, guess I'll not do that now.

(this is actually too bad, as I really like the software and I'd probably continue to drop some coin on it but I'm not doing it twice.)

You don't need to.. You can buy the pro upgrade from within the free app for the same price. The only difference is the icon and name don't get updated.

That is the master output for the application and is a blanket level that affects all your presets. Try to set you desired sound using the amp gains/volume for the level of clean vs dirt and then use the master volume slider to back off if redlining.

I have made several requests to tie that control into a preset patch so it can be assigned different settings but they don't seem to agree its all that important. The problem lies in the fact that you want different drive levels on your presets. One preset I might want to drive an amp hard which means the master volume has to be lowered after I set gain and amp volume. Now when I switch to a preset that is set for a cleaner sound the volume between presets will be quite different and I have to move the master volume to compensate. This is not a favorable behavior for live preset switching.

That is a great idea and should be quite easy to implement as well, so I don't really see why they shouldn't throw it in there ASAP. Maybe a little flood of request from TBers would help ...

I also have purchased everything in the free version but when I first started using the app I had only purchased the 1st bass expansion. So all I had was the ac30 and the bass pack...... When you begin with the jamup pro xt you begin with all that is in the pro expansion bundle and you can add other gear from there. I think the only difference is in the shell app. I eventually bought the pro part inside the free app at a discount price. But I always use the (red icon) shell.

What I do is set my pedal/amp chain to have a volume control type of pedal or the LA rack at the end of the chain so I can keep the top right master volume at the same setting for out put.
For example I can use the EQ pedal with or without any EQ change and use the volume output volume in that or, the high frequency filter and set the output volume there or, the LA as a compressor or limiter. All these at the end....so all my presets have the same output volume.

I tend to use the amp sim volume to get the volumes to match. I usually end up around 60-70%. The master slider I usually have around 80%, I also use the Alesis io dock which has a headphone volume knob. (Also an input gain, but I use that to adjust for various basses)

This is also what I do. I have the La comp at the end of all my presets. It allows me to keep a consistent (maximum) volume between patches.

Interesting. I was wondering why you guys never bitch about volume problems between patches... Thanks for posting :bassist:

It's a good work-a-round but that just it, its a hoop you have to jump through because that output slider isn't programmable like it should be..

:help: why not bug PG with a request to make the master output programmable to a preset :help:

I bought it on sale the other day and haven't cracked into it yet but I plan to soon.

I've been trying to use AmpKit+ and JamUp piped into Auria together via Audiobus
but there's an audible latency to the headphones.

I'm gonna try a few things including trying Cubasis instead of Auria at the output and turning some things off and see if that cures it.

I have a 3rd gen iPad so I shouldn't be out of bits.

The CPU meter in Auria doesn't show heavy usage.

It'll all be different next week anyway. :p
