It's one thing to have responsible stewardship. It is another matter when one considers the mass-hysteria being promulgated by the media and others with near-religious fervor.
The absence of the one has resulted in the other...
Some see the threat of irreversibly damaging the world that our grandchildren inherit as an issue to become quite adamant about.
Which is why Mike has started Bad Newz Nursereez...to ensure that the next generation will be able to kick the government's a** if they don't serve the people.

I remember in the 70's pollution was going to kill us all. In the 80's and 90's the hole in the ozone was going to kill us all.
I'm not saying there aren't legitimate concerns regarding the environment. It's the hysteria and the hypocrisy that I've had enough of.
Am I the only one who doesn't see the "hysteria" here? Nobody's told me to freak out and panic about it.

It's an issue to be dealt with, thoughtfully, and who knows the answer may just improve life on earth & beyond to such an extent that future generations will read about us as we read about the invention of the light bulb...

So, these guys are respectable scientists as long as they reach the "right" conclusions?
You can honestly say you've never heard the whole "OMG, sea levels are rising 20ft in 50 years!!!!" speech?
His name included because he is/was a part of the project. He volunteered to review the findings, methodology & data, that's peer review. To my knowledge he did not contribute any research or spend any time in the labs working on modeling or drilling ice cores, he reviewed the work of others. He disagrees, that's all well and good, he's entitled to his opinion. One would however, need to balance his opinion, background, past & present funding and career path, against the majority view, when making your own judgment about the credence to lend to it.

Global warming is dangerous for the planet. It's a simple factual statement. If you see it as hysterical, that's your problem.
