Working out as in neither of those couples were able to stay together?I dunno, some might say it worked out OK for these guys, in a manner of speaking.

She is way out of this guy's league.
You do you. Unless your band has an HR department that specifically frowns on this, who cares?I'd been dating the lead singer for 2 months now but I heard that's generally frowned upon to date your bandmates is it true?
Lol.....and picsWeight?
When I was younger our roadie dated the lead singer when we were on the road. When we were in town she hung out with her husband. You can imagine the outcome.

Dating a member of your band can’t be any worse than crowdsourcing relationship advice from total strangers on the internet.

True, and given how little money there is in music these days, I don't see how we're really an authority on anything other than how to make really bad financial and career decisions. My only advice would be to find the joy where you can in this barren and rocky ground. Also this![]()
Ten pages guaranteed!Looking for relationship advice (tongue-in-cheek?) .....on TB, oooooooookaaaaayyyy
What's funnier are all the serious armchair relationship responses
On a related topic, I will never joing a band where there is a married couple. You are always outnumbered. They completely control the band on every decision. Been there, done that, a few times, never learned.
I think Todd Rundgren married one of his backup singers. Not sure if they're still together, though.NOT dating other band members was a hard lesson I learned, fairly early on. Other than maybe Pat Benatar and Neil Girardo, I don't think I've ever seen it work....
If an in-band relationship is frowned upon by other band members it's because they realize that the band is probably going to be breaking up at some point.Frowned upon by whom? If it's frowned upon by your band mates, it's something you need to consider, and you probably need to come to some agreement with them on, uh, exit strategies in case the relationship isn't bliss. If it's merely frowned upon by rando's on the internet like us, pfft.
So to h3ll with the other band members?Go with your heart. If it also breaks up the band, so be it.
There are exceptions to (most) rules.Rebecca Johnson and Con Settineri seem to be doing ok. Band is tight.
It worked out okay for Blake Shelton. It worked out okay for No doubt.....
