Is it bad to date the lead singer ???

My wife and I met, and began dating, when we were in a band together. That was 37 years ago and we're still married and still in a band together. But is does add complications. I think it really comes down to the personalities involved (the couple, and the other bandmates) and the level of professionalism of all involved.

But it’s no problem for us, because nobody expects us to automatically agree on everything or collude on anything. We’re professional about it on every level. Everybody has to be heard. I've never been in a band but in private and government jobs it's tough to go against a couple. Seems like whatever you suggest it's always two to one. So I feel for the other band members. Some bands stay together after a couples breakup but it's pretty rare. Love seems harder to find than bands though, follow your heart. Love will have it's way and the world must work its way around it. Good luck.

Of similar situations I've been in over the years, I believe it worked for the good of the group once. What happened with Fleetwood Mac has no relevance to any other band. The odds are against it. Whatever happens with you, the other band members need to start considering their other options.

I was in band that toured and recorded full time for a year, the singer and drummer were a couple. They both would confide in me about there relationship issues-
