Is it bad to date the lead singer ???

Not bad at all. I've been dating the singer in one of my bands for just over 10 years. Both us, and the band are still happily together. No drama. It's absolute rubbish that it can't work. It all depends on the people involved. Period.
Anyone in a band can create drama for a multitude of reasons. Dating, or not. Maybe it won't work out, and one of you will leave the band. So what? People leave bands, and bands implode all the time. If you like each other, go for it.

I don't buy it. There are lots of very successful relationships that began in work environments.
You're already doing it, so, I guess it will play out however it does.

If someone hits on your singer (girlfriend) would you go ape-shot, or would you let your singer handle it. Because if there are scenes made because of that, then eventually the band may lose gigs and also cause dissension with the members (especially if they have to break up some roughhousing). It didn't work for me, perhaps it will work for you. Lead singers are usually out front, and thus, are usually involved in marketing and such. Lot's to think about.
I'm going to take an alternative position. I'm married, and my wife is more important to me than any band I ever played in. So to that point, if you think there is a chance it will work out with the singer, then who cares if it breaks up the band? Love and relationships are more important than bands, you can find another band if it doesn't work out.
