It's Christmas Day! Who's practicing today?

Me. Learning "Nikita" by Elton John (David Paton on bass). Put an hour or so in this morning and a few more this afternoon. It's kicking my ass a bit.

I checked it out. I dislike everything about the production of this track (give me '70s EJ and I'm happy). Except the bass. It's exceptional. Thanks.
Been practicing some Def Leopard tracks that I've heard a million times but never bothered playing along to... subbing for a band I've never played with, should be fun. Also Drift Away, by Dobie Gray, and Brown eyed Girl. Both are a blast to play.
Variety is the spice of life.

That would be me. I could take the day off from playing, but I don't want to. Already had to get up early and drive around to take care of other people's cats, and I have a few chores to do to get ready for my dinner guests, and there are more cats to feed later on. But in-between I will run through some stuff I'm learning, just because it makes me happy. How about you, what are your plans?

Practiced before, then played this morning for our Christmas Day worship service. Great mix of hymns and jazzed up tunes.

Yeah, I got the whole, "What the hell are you doing!? Are you kidding me!? It's #%$&*=€ Christmas!!!", from the wife today. Hahaha, some people just don't understand.

Since I don't celebrate Christmas, I'm Jewish, I practiced "Fly Me to the Moon" that I had arranged a couple of years ago. Since a good amount of time passes between playing it with my group, when we do, I stumble a lot, so I decided to lock it in. Getting there.

Light session; I played some mandolin this morning and my left hand fingers needed a while to recover! I learned The Beach Boys - Little Saint Nick on it (in G Maj though, not the original F# Maj....YET) and played it with my blues guitarist step pops.

As for bass, just some exercises & working on a couple minor pentatonic forms while ticking the metronome upwards, and a few song licks and things.

My music-related gift was pretty general in a very good way: $200 gift card to Sweetwater. Man oh man.

I've got 4 new songs to learn for a New Years Eve wedding where we're also making a live video promo.

And my wife just gave me this, which I needed:

My answer would therefor be...

Me.

I played about 15 minutes with some technique focus, so it was kinda practicing.
