She's seen better days but I hope to dump the electronics (boring EMGs) and re-wire it with some DiMarzios, and possibly new pots and cap.

emg's are only good when you get the 2band version. nothing wrong with my emg'ed units with the eq.

p.s. I have a p-bass I never use, it has a emg tone/vol, and it sucks.

Wow, someone REALLY ruined this wiring...
Tone pot does nothing, and neither volume turns to 0, they go from ten, to roughly "2" mid-tern, than back to 10. :scowl:

Good thing I'm re-wiring it totally.

Actually. I worked out a deal with a fellow TB'er. We're trading straight, EMG for DiMarzio.

so, does anyone know if there are any new jackson basses coming out? i saw the NAMM pics with the new basses, but there still isn't anything new on the jackson website. i thought by now we'd see something new on there.

ughh! i want a new 5 stringer ! im really hoping they put out some pointy head NT 5 strings again.. that's what i want, and im not really interested in anything other than jackson's these days, haha

yeah i know. that bass is really nice, but im hoping they make a few other 5 string pointys. i dont really want to shell out $1000+ on a 5 string. i'd be fine with just a 5 string CMG NT to be honest. Hell, i'd even settle for a bolt-on at this point if it was a 5 string, lol.

I have an 87 custom shop neck -thru Concert Bass and I love it. I used to have two Jazz Basses (64 & 73) Both great basses but when it came time to sell something I chose to keep my Jackson over the vintage beauties because the truth is I played it more than the others, it is simply a better instrument period! I will never part with it (Ok I do miss the 64 a bit but ..Oh well !!) Who cares about headstocks? The quality and preformance are what really matter and my old Concert Bass has the best of both. I have used it for hard rock gigs and blues as well it sounds equally great for both applications ... I included a couple of pics ...Enjoy!!

I'm not affiliated with this dude. he's near me though. Prices are too high IMHO. But scroll down about 2/3 and you'll find 2 USA Jacksons. Then almost to the bottom another USA with reverse headstock.
