After an excruciating two year wait (I ordered this in April of 2015), she has finally arrived!
Not much I need to say about the beauty and craftsmanship: as poor as my photography skills are, the bass is so pretty that the half-ass pics still pretty much sum that up. I will say about the finish though: it doesn't get any more superbly and flawlessly professional than this.
The tone is exactly what I was after on the bridge pickup...that particular Jaydee growl, but in a fretless. I was pleasantly surprised by the neck pickup too though. It creates a very mellow organic sound that I was not expecting. It will be perfect for creating a bit more "thumpy" and woody sound for walking lines over Jazz standards. That's some added tonal versatility I was not counting on.
Comfort and playability are also exactly as I'd hoped, but I knew what to expect since I already own another Series III. I may need to tweak the action just a little, gonna let the neck settle a bit, but overall it's nice and low. I can create that nice zingy mwah on the fingerboard with the round wounds, even with my small weakling fingers

Gotta say, your 5 string Supernatural Classic is unequivocally righteous! Diggins truly knocked it out of the park.
Thanks man, it's truly a fine piece of craftsmanship. I'm still enjoying it as much as the day I got it.

Is this club still alive? I have a GA24 Jaydee Supernatural from 1988 that I have had since the mid-90s

He also has a brand new one that the Diggins gang made for him...AND the Starchild bass has been reintroduced.....the Jaydees have come back around....I am sooooo glad!!!
Judging by the comments on a lot of the video clips of the current tour there are quite a few people who are happy about the return of the Jaydee. I love the sound of my Status but nine times out of ten I think MK sounds better on his Jaydees than he does on his Status basses.

Completely agree, I saw them during the "Retroglide" tour and I hated that glassy tone of the Status basses. There was no low end.
Heck, I have the same complaint about Flea's live bass tone during the "By the way" era, that Modulus sounded so glassy.
