The Calibas is now 23 years old. I just got it back from John last week. Luckily I only live about 10 miles or so from the workshop. It's been serviced and refinished.

The Mark King is a 1987 model. It now has wooden volume/tone knobs, and John just made me a wooden truss rod cover. The whole bass looks amazing.

I've been a fan of Jaydees for well over 20 years.

Yeah, John fitted a new truss rod to it. The old one had worn out after 23 years.

They coloured the binding slightly to age it. They did a fantastic job.

Cool Trio Jaymi! I don't know if that's an optical effect but the Pink one seems to have the widest body, although it supposed to be an S3 shape just like the Roadie.

the pink body shape is very different from the Roadie...The Roadie feels bigger and I will have to measure them to see...

I am going to put this in the Twin/Double Neck section but as it is a Unique Jaydee, I thought it should go here first.

This was made in 1978, by John Diggins, for Richard "Fez" Ferriday, who was in a successful midlands based rock band, "Cryer"
He used it live and recorded with it - bit of a handful but if you get to hear some of the tracks they did, it's a very convincing Ric on one of them.

I've had it for about three years and earlier this year, with the help of someone from here, Talkbass - I managed to track Richard down.
They are doing a gig at The Asylum, in Birmingham UK, 16th December, so I have re-united the bass and it's original
owner, who is rehearsing for the gig and will use it on the night.

It is a BEAST!! Very powerful passive pick-ups, with a punchy Four and a sweet sounding Eight.
