I like it, but I think I'd want a different finish if it were mine. Maybe the black velvet colour of his other model. I could also see myself changing out both knobs to stacked volume and tone.

It's probably a nice bass, but I'm not dying to play one. When EBMM came out with the Caprice, I wanted one but shortly thereafter, they raised the price by ~30%. I ended up buying one that was used. I enjoyed and played it for a couple of years and sold it because I wanted something else. EBMM said they discontinued the Caprice because they didn't sell and it's not surprising that they didn't sell after they raised the price by a huge amount. What's the price of this?
The Cliff Williams Sting Ray Sig is over $7k.For the math and internet impaired here, a new Sterling from EBMM will run you 2400. The Tim Commerford sigs ran for 3000 and the Mike Herrera sig was 2600, so this is in line with EBMM's current pricing model.
I personally am waiting for an import version.

So its a Jazz bass?
Love his playing, hate his basses. But thats just my aestethic.
Those of you who don't know who he is should try to do a google on the youtuber TV. Maybe you'll discover something new..
That is AWESOME! I didn't know that.It should also be noted that all of the proceeds from that bass were donated to a charity for Alzheimer's.

Thanks for the info!
At this price (basically the same as a StingRay), I'm not interested (I'd buy a StingRay instead). This is precisely the big mistake that EBMM made with the Caprice - - they want to charge too much for a passive bass! I know - - there are some passive fans out there, but if I have a choice, I'd rather have the active bass for the additional flexibility.
This reminds me that a washtub, a broom handle and some wire can also make music....if you're so inclined. But who would want to today?
